Useful new features to our Charity Combined product

We have recently made significant upgrades to our Charity Combined and Executive Risks policies.

As many charities and not-for-profit groups look to resume activities and services in 2022, we would like to highlight some of the ways these groups can benefit from our policies - either at no extra cost or as a great value addition to their existing cover.

 

New key features include:

New section:

Business Travel insurance – The pandemic halted travel plans for many businesses and charities who deliver services overseas. Many may be looking to go abroad again in 2022. The cover is available for employees or volunteers travelling within or outside the UK. 

Benefits include cancellation and curtailment, travel delay, personal liability, personal belongings, and hijack, kidnap and ransom.


New cover extensions:
Event Cancellation – Ideal for organisations running community events, parades, fundraisers, or local festivals. This cover can be purchased as an extension to normal Business Interruption and is designed for expenses lost or incurred following the cancellation, relocation or postponement of any planned special event in the UK for causes outside of the Insured’s control such as adverse weather.

Eco-Friendly Buildings cover – In a time when all businesses are assessing their environmental credentials, our standard cover now provides up to £50,000 of extra costs to make the building stronger or more environmentally friendly following damage. We also include cover for up to £25,000 of costs to properly dispose of waste computer equipment post loss.


New higher limits:
Material Damage and Business Interruption – Many automatic extensions now have increased limits. These include Contract Works increasing from £100,000 to £250,000 and Business Interruption Unspecified Customers and Suppliers increasing from £5,000 to £100,000.


New flexibility:
Group Personal Accident – now provides options for higher capital limits up to £50,000 as well as multiples of salaries.

Executive Risks – Wording tailored to the charity and not-for-profit sector so groups get the cover they need at the right price. We offer a full suite of products that can be purchased as part of a commercial combined quote or as stand-alone covers and now with the option for different indemnity limits for each section:

  • Trustee Indemnity – whether loss is sustained by individual officers, trustees, directors or the entity itself. Includes new extensions of cover for crisis management, civil fines and penalties.
  • Professional Indemnity – especially designed for non-regulated services and advice.
  • Fidelity Guarantee – now available with a full Crime cover option.
  • Employment Practices – cover must be bought along with Trustee Indemnity.

We also offer great value Select Package options. For example, our Select Liability package starts from less than £150 including IPT.
